There are several types of garage doors that all serve very different purposes. A ‘Single Panel’ garage door is made of a solid, single panel that swings up and into the garage ceiling. A ‘Sectional’ garage door is made of several panels that fold and bend as the garage opens, leaving more room in front of the garage when it does. The last type is a ‘Hinged Doors’ type of garage door. Hinged Doors are a more classic style that opens outwards, horizontally, on a set of side hinges.
