Retail Areas

If you think carefully enough about many of the retail stores you’ve visited or even driven past recently, you’ll likely land on at least one similarity: Many of them contain rolling doors, typically made from durable steel that’s meant to be strong and protective. This is because retail and related business receive merchandise on nearly a daily basis, in many cases, and they need both a convenient and secure way of carrying out this process.

Especially for retail companies who receive frequent shipments from ground or freight shippers, this is the way to go. Rolling doors allow for a wide entry space to pass in oversized items, if needed, plus are easy to open and close. They’re also extremely durable and offer security to any retail store, where they’ll be counted on for overnight protection of goods.

Restaurants

Another business type that receives numerous deliveries within a given week or even a given day: A restaurant, which will regularly receive food, cutlery and other supplies via this method. Roll-up doors are also commonly found in restaurants, typically in the back, where they’re ideal for maintaining large spaces for any such deliveries. In addition, for those who are just setting up a new restaurant building, installing a rolling door is a great call due to the large size, which allows for items like ovens, dishwashers or others to be moved inside without space concerns.

Farming Setups

Farmers also have to keep their equipment safe and protected, typically inside a barn or similar area, and a common option here is a hinged door. But in many cases, hinged doors require clearance that won’t be realistic for a given barn – and in these cases, using a rolling door removes this need. It allows for maximum space within the barn or any other storage area, a valuable feature for farmers storing many different pieces of equipment.
